With the new Wii U version, Vigil Games stated that Darksiders 2 would take full advantage of Nintendo's system from a gameplay point of view while matching the graphical accomplishments of the PS3 and 360 versions. The latter was a basic port, combining the best features of the 360 and PS3 versions with the ability to run at higher resolutions and frame-rates: by default the best experience, but a little disappointing in the DirectX 11 era. or the beginning.In terms of platform parity, we came away reasonably satisfied with Vigil Games's work on the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Darksiders 2, although we felt that console gamers were let down by heavy tearing, while PC gamers had to suffer a lack of customisable graphics settings. With Death, you could bring about the end. Ride forth through the regions of Heaven, Hell and the Earth itself to restore balance and defend your brother War, at all costs. This is combined with your gear and gadgets, such as the Ghost Hook, which can all be used against your foes to bring about your ultimate victory. There are better combat combinations and weapons, such as your signature twin scythes which can fuse in to one given the right combo, as well as an alternative giant hammer to truly decimate your opponents. To help you against this game's much more formidable enemies, fighting styles have also been improved. There are also more extensive customisations and upgrades to explore with your character, with skill trees to grow through to fully enhance your capabilities. Alongside this, there are more puzzles to solve, as well as more dungeons to challenge both your wits and strength.

The maps within this game have at least doubled in size since its predecessor, as well as more articulate weapon and armour upgrade systems. The features of this game have dramatically improved since the original, for the bigger and the better, with astounding and vibrant graphics. The Darksiders II Limited edition is available only for launch, and includes a code that allows free access to the Darksiders II “Arguls Tomb” expansion, the first DLC pack which will be available around 30 days from launch.
